I finished The Dark Divine last night and really enjoyed it. It was one of those "can't put it down" books.
It is another vampire genre book, but they are not vampires. I will not divulge what they are as that is an important aspect of the book. However, it is a good love story and will hold anyone's attention with its mystery and action. Highly recommend it.

I have a few new books to mention and recommend. First book is The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. It is a perfect example of historical fiction at its best, and what kind of impact it can actually have on people. It is about several African-American house workers and one woman who writes about their lives. It gives the reader one of the best insights into the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s I have ever seen. A really good read. You instantly like the characters from the beginning. No warming up necessary.
Second book I read was Beautiful Creatures, by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I enjoyed most of it, but would like others to let me know how they liked the end. Not saying anything else about that. For the most part, it was a good read. Try it for yourselves! Finally, I am now reading The Dark Divine, by Bree Despain. So far I really like it. I still am trying to figure out what kind of secret Daniel is and has. He is something really evil - or is he? Very good so far. I will post the results soon. |
