Well, the plot really thickened in this, the second of the new "Flapper" series. From the very start, she (Larkin) had us. This time the main characters all end up in New York. Their lives are not as carefree and glamorous as they would have liked, but they do a lot of growing up, which I always enjoy seeing happen. I really enjoyed this one and can't wait for the third one Diva.

I love historical fiction, so this caught my attention. It is book one in a series called "Flappers" about the 1920s. When it started, I thought hmmm, but it quickly drew me in as I got to know the characters. One is Gloria, a bored little rich girl, engaged to someone she doesn't love, who tries sowing some wild oats. She is accompanied by her friends, Lorraine and Marcus. Meanwhile, at home, her cousin Clara arrives, supposedly from the country to help with Gloria's wedding. Well the plot thickens from there and I am already into the sequel Ingenue. Good story, but not completely accurate language for the time.
